11. FAQ & troubleshooting

Why does my customer see text instead of a QR code? No scannable code exists for that order's currency — each national standard is currency-specific. The IBAN, amount and reference still show as text, so payment isn't blocked.

The QR doesn't appear at checkout. In Settings → Checkout → Customize, open the Thank you page and select Add app block → QR Payment Instructions. The Order status QR uses its fixed payment-details placement automatically. Home confirms both activations once Shopify detects them.

My Hungarian (or Finnish) QR doesn't work. That standard requires a BIC/SWIFT. Add it to the account on the Bank accounts page.

Is there a limit on the free plan? The free plan shows the QR on the Thank you and Order status pages for up to 50 orders per month. Upgrade for unlimited orders, email QR, and more — see Section 7.

How does the customer actually pay? They scan the QR with a compatible banking app; the amount, your account and reference are pre-filled. They confirm a normal bank transfer. Their bank may charge a transfer fee.

The QR is still showing on an order that's already paid. It can take a short moment for Shopify's payment webhook to reach the app; the QR hides automatically once that's processed. If it persists, check Reconciliation (Business plan) or the order's payment status in Shopify directly.

Can I add more than one bank account? Yes, on the Pro plan and above — see Bank accounts. Each account can be routed to specific order currencies.

I changed my IBAN — will old orders show the new one? No, by design. Once an order is created, its QR (account and reference) is frozen to whatever was configured at that time, so a later IBAN or reference change never disagrees with the QR a customer already saw on that order's email or Thank you page.

What happens to my data when I uninstall? Your shop's stored settings, bank accounts and payment-tracking records are removed. See Section 2.
