12. Barcode scanner

Two scanning methods, both from the Scan barcode button.

Camera scanner — uses the device camera (phones, tablets, laptops). A scanner window opens with a live feed and a target box; a successful scan beeps, flashes the matched row green, and increments its quantity by 1. The same barcode within 1.5 s is ignored to prevent double-scans.

Hardware scanner — any USB/Bluetooth scanner that emulates a keyboard. Activate it (a green Active badge appears), then scan; input arriving faster than a human could type is treated as a scan.

Supported formats: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code-128. Barcodes match the variant barcode first, then SKU.
